Polka Dot Top

Hey, loves!

So, today I’m sharing something that’s a little different for me. I wanted to try out the polka dot trend! Let me tell you… I loved it! It was way out of my comfort zone to wear something like this, but I was feeling so fun and girly. Let’s get into the outfit, shall we?

Top: Forever 21 | Jeans: Charlotte Russe | Heels: Target | Earrings: Target | Bag: Shop J and G | Bracelet: Alex and Ani

This top was SO affordable! When I read ‘crop top’ in the description, I immediately continued scrolling to the next item, but then I thought to myself, “why not?!?”. I feel like I’ve been stuck in a mindset where I am always too embarrassed or scared to wear clothes that’s out of my comfort zone. I was prepared to get it in the mail and immediately return it. However, I ended up loving it! It fit like a glove, and the best part was that it was covering everything, so I was not feeling self-conscious at all. I paired it with my favorite high waisted light wash jeans, and felt totally comfortable. A tip if you’re a little worried about your tummy area, wear high waisted bottoms! It helps keep everything in place, and wearing crop tops is not scary that way. I don’t think I need to talk about the shoes anymore. They are at Target for less than $30… ‘nuff said LOL. And of course we have the cutest bag ever. This exact one is from an online boutique called, which you can find here. If you use the code “laceups” at checkout, you get $ off your entire purchase!

I’ve been trying to make it a point to get out of my comfort zone when it comes to clothes lately. I’m not the most confident person in the world, but it’s important to love the skin you’re in and rock all the clothes you want – even if it’s not something you’re used to wearing! Fashion is all about experimenting, and learning to wear different pieces in different ways. Never ever pass up the opportunity to wear that top or dress you love so much, even if it’s just to take a picture for the ‘gram!

As always, I hope you enjoyed reading this blog post as much as I enjoyed putting it together for you. All links to the items I’m wearing can be found underneath the photos above or in the simply click on any image in the widget below to shop.
