Hey, Cuties!
In case you missed it, I planned the ultimate birthday surprise for my sister's 30th birthday this past weekend! It was so much fun to team up with local vendors and businesses, and I truly could not have pulled it off if it weren't for them. I needed a way to get her out of the house while I started setting up for the surprise picnic, so I teamed up with Houston CityPlace Marriott and the new Common Bond location to plan a mini stay-cation for her to head off to.
Location
Houston CityPlace Marriott is located in Springwoods Village in Spring, Texas just north of Houston. It is surrounded by great dining options, retail stores, entertainment, and only a 10-minute drive from The Woodlands Mall. Not only is it nearby many places, it is also located next to a beautiful lake with amazing views where you can sit back and relax or go on a morning or afternoon walk. The Houston CityPlace Marriott at Springwoods Village is the perfect staycation surrounded by walking, running and biking trails and paths. The hotel offers a change of pace (and scenery) with a beautiful oasis of greenery for guests to relax and unwind outside of the concrete jungle.
Amenities
The hotel offers many great amenities including an infiniti pool overlooking the lake, fine dining, Starbucks, several banquet rooms, a fitness center, and you can even bring your fur babies along. The lobby area is beautiful and the perfect place to sit back and sip on your coffee or wine.
Bedroom
I was able to invite some of my sister's closest friends to spend the night with her, so the 2 queen bed room was perfect. The room also had a desk area in case you are needing to get some work done during your stay and a comfy sofa. The bathroom was so clean and spacious, and included a super nice bathtub. It also had a great HDTV perfect for movie nights. Room service is also available for a fee, so you never have to step out of the room.
Dinner
Common Bond is only a 2 minute walk from the hotel, and they offer the yummiest breakfast, lunch and dinner options. They recently opened last month, and it is the best place to pick up food to take back to your room or enjoy the patio to self-distance while having a relaxing dinner. They also have a full bar, which is Common Bond's first ever full-service bar and lounge. It is the perfect spot for happy hour or to grab a drink while on the way back to the hotel for the night. They have tons of savory options on their menu, and you can't leave without picking up a delicious cake or pastry from their bakery.
COVID-19 Safety Measures
Both Houston CityPlace Marriott and Common Bond are taking extra safety measures to ensure the safest environment during these times. The hotel had several sanitizing stations throughout the lobby and masks were required outside of rooms. They are taking extra time to make sure rooms are cleaned and sterilized to protect all guests. Common Bond also is requiring masks unless you are eating or drinking. They have a nice patio area where you are able to enjoy your meal while self-distancing. Tables have been spaced out to allow space in between parties, and all furniture and dishes are sanitized to ensure the safety of guests.
