Gingham Fling

Hey, Loves!

Today I wanted to share my obsession with gingham lately. So, of course, the focal point of this post is the top shown in the photographs. It's so easy to style this pattern, but I can totally understand how the pattern can get a little crazy. I remember wearing a gigham dress to my sisters' graduation dinner and feeling like I looked like a picnic blanket the entire time. So, the easiest way to avoid feeling this way is to make whatever piece is gingham pattern the main focus.

As I mentioned before, having whatever piece is gingham be the focal point is super easy to do. As shown in these photographs, I went for neutrals for the rest of my outfit in order to really showcase this top. By the way, how cute is this top?! This exact one is from a local boutique in Houston called Poppy Clothing. You can also browse their Instagram here. By the way, the entire boutique is currently 50% off so you better run and get your goodies before the sale ends! It was inspired by a local blogger, Cassidy from CassidyCulp.com, which is SO her. If you haven't checked out Poppy Clothing or Cassidy, you definitely should! Emily, the manager at Poppy, and Cassidy are both the sweetest girls. Anyways, back to the top... I really love the sleeve detailing on this top just because it adds that extra pop and dimension to your outfit. It dresses up your outfit to a whole new level, and makes wearing jeans with it that much easier.

I wanted to add some edginess to my outfit, so it was a no-brainer to pair this top with the most distressed pair of white jeans. These particular ones are from ASOS. If you're a shorty like me, you should try out their petite shop. I was able to find some denim that I didn't have to roll up 50 times. The price point is pretty good, and the quality is not bad at all for what you're paying.

Last but not least, are the nude heels. I feel like I talk about these all the time, but this pair of heels are seriously the best staple to have. They go with anything, and you can dress up any outfit with them, or wear them with a dressier outfit. Regardless, they always get the job done. These specific ones are currently $11 at Target... WHAT?! I've also linked similar pairs in case Target no longer has your size.

I hope that y'all are having an amazing weekend! Tell me how you guys wear gingham print in the comments below. Do you like to mix prints or have one print be the focal point of your outfit?

As always, thank you so much for taking the time to read my blog posts. I hope you enjoyed this one as much as I enjoyed writing it.

Love,

Vannesa
